Throughout the month of July, the missionary and volunteer project Caleb Mission takes place in northern Peru. In this featured event, Adventists from local churches take time off from their vacations or pause their daily activities to participate in a full week of evangelism.
Caleb Mission has begun with a bang in northeastern Peru under the motto "Evangelism on a Large Scale," mobilizing more than 200 evangelists who have left their mark on the communities of Nueva Cajamarca and Yurimaguas.
The volunteer missionaries went to various locations, reaching areas with an Adventist presence and those without. Thanks to this dedication, more than 500 people decided to give their lives to Jesus through baptism.
Some of the activities carried out included the "Missionary Afternoons," a program of visiting people interested in learning more about the gospel that allowed participants to establish new ties and provide personalized support. The campaign ended on Saturday, July 6, with a baptism ceremony.
The main focus of the evangelism campaign was the native community of Panán, located eight hours from Yurimaguas by river, where more than 100 people were baptized.
Continuing Caleb Mission Evangelism
Caleb Mission moved to other areas, such as Moyobamba, Río Hoja, Amazonas, Tarapoto, and Huallaga. From July 14 to 20, these communities joined the evangelistic campaign, challenging them to bring more people to the feet of Christ.
Mission Caleb extends to the entire northern territory; its next destination is Lima, where a massive campaign will be held from July 25 to August 3. More than 8,000 young people and adults will join together to spread the message of hope, visit homes, and participate in service projects such as reforestation and blood donation.
