Leda Maria's story could be one that has been told for generations. Four years ago, she was faced with the sad reality of finding the body of her dead daughter, the victim of a murder. Without answers, she cried out to God.
"I couldn't read, so I started to pray and ask God to teach me to read. I wanted to learn more of the truth; I saw that would be the way. And the Lord not only taught me, He calmed my heart in that moment of anguish," Maria said.
Upon learning more about Jesus, Maria set up a small group in her home. Without imagining it, she was surprised by the visit of 30 people. "I receive here at home 20–30 people. Every day, we study the Word, and afterwards, I serve a delicious meal," she reported.

Missionary of Generations
Maria’s interest in the youth grew, and her work expanded with little children. She says the action of giving Bible studies and praying with people is a missionary and discipleship work. "We need to teach children to preach about the kingdom of God.”
For her, preaching the gospel is an act of gratitude and a new meaning of life. “Work for Jesus, and He will not let you lack anything. Just trust; He will come; trust!”
