On April 12, 2025, thousands of Adventists across Argentina took to the streets with a single purpose: to spread hope through a book.

As part of the Impacto Esperanza (Impact Hope) missionary project, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Argentina distributed approximately 350,000 copies of the book "The Key to Change," a book focused on mental health and emotional well-being, written by Bruno Raso and Dr. Marcelo Niek.

For days before, the administrative offices of the various Adventist fields and institutions had already been distributing the books.

“Here at the Argentina Union Conference headquarters, we went out on Friday morning to the Munro shopping center in the province of Buenos Aires, with all our office equipment to distribute books. The reception from the people was very positive. I think the book's theme helped a lot. When we talked about mental health, people were very receptive,” said Germán Martínez, Publishing Ministries director.

Each field experienced the day in a unique way.

“The Northwest Argentine Mission team, for example, went to the Children's Hospital to deliver the book directly to the little ones. They visited the hospital officials and then toured the wards, handing out the books,” added Martínez.

The highlight of the day was the active participation of all church members, regardless of age or department.

Germán noted: “Children, adolescents, young adults, adults, seniors... everyone joined this missionary movement. We received photos from different parts of the country and saw the entire church involved. The departments—Pathfinders, Women's Ministry, Personal Ministry—also all came out to distribute books.”

The Impacto Esperanza project not only aims to spread a message of hope through literature, but also to unite the church in a common mission.

“It's beautiful to see a church united in mission. We not only distribute books containing the message of salvation, we also strengthen the spirit of community and service,” said Martínez.

Furthermore, this year the campaign coincided with the days leading up to Easter, which allowed us to invite people to participate in special sermons organized in different parts of the country.

"We took advantage of the opportunity to hand out invitations. Many of those who received a book were also invited to a sermon center near their homes for the following weekend," explained Martínez.

This mobilization was also covered in the media. Pastor José Peñafiel, director of Nuevo Tiempo Argentina, highlighted the radio station's participation in Impacto Esperanza.

“Every year, Radio Nuevo Tiempo in Argentina joins a special broadcast with Nuevo Tiempo radio stations from different South American countries to broadcast and cover the Hope Impact. We then interview people who have received the book, people who have come out to share it, and our announcers accompany this movement with a broadcast that closely follows the experiences of the entire church. This year was no exception, and Argentina was also able to participate in this coverage, which was broadcast throughout South America. It's a joy to be part of this impact, as a large family of the Adventist Church that is Nuevo Tiempo,” he described.

Finally, Martínez appealed to the entire church: “Now the challenge is to pray for these books, but above all for the people who received them. May the Holy Spirit work in their hearts, and may they be open to this valuable message.”
