The virtual campaign for the delivery of the book “La Mayor Esperanza” (“The Greatest Hope”) had begun and Nuevo Tiempo Perú joined this dissemination through its social networks.
It was on Facebook that they posted a story announcing the big day, Oct. 31, where the physical book would be delivered to the streets. Everything was ready, but nobody imagined that David García, a Facebook follower in Trujillo, was eager to get his hands on it.
“Where can I get the physical book? I would love to have it,” he wrote through a private Facebook message to Nuevo Tiempo Peru. Immediately, he received the answer that a free delivery was already being coordinated that would arrive at his house. Thirty minutes later, the pastor. Héctor Sukari, a representative of Nuevo Tiempo in that city, was knocking on the door of his house with the book in his hand.
"I come from Nuevo Tiempo Peru to deliver your request: ‘La Mayor Esperanza,’" Pastor Sukari told him. García looked at him somewhat puzzled, as he thought the delivery would take a matter of days.
"The book! It's here! Thank you very much! I thought it would take longer,” he exclaimed, trying to overcome his astonishment.
García began following Nuevo Tiempo Peru on Facebook, and shared the content of the book with Danitza, his partner. Days later, they both contacted Pastor Héctor Sukari directly, but this time, to request Bible studies from him. Thus, their story with Christ began, and they studied the Bible course every day, not wanting to waste time.
The couple chose happiness with Jesus and decided to formalize their relationship by joining their lives through marriage. Without a doubt, the joy they both felt was greater than before. And to multiply the joy, two days later, together they entered the waters of baptism.
Today, David and Danitza are a married couple who have begun walking the path of the Christian life. They know that the difficulties of life will not go away, but they are sure that God will sustain them at all times and that is their greatest hope.
