"I have come back to life, after having faced a hematoma and a cerebral infarction," says Juana Cueva, a woman who has been passionate about Bible studies for 25 years.
Juanita, as she is affectionately known, has evangelized more than 100 people among friends, co-workers, neighbors, and her family, taking advantage of every opportunity to teach them about the Bible. Even during the pandemic, she continued preaching, adapting to new technologies such as Zoom and WhatsApp. However, the disease came. She lost her speech and ability to walk.
At that time, Juanita had five people who were studying the lesson "The Faith of Jesus," and when she entered the operating room, she thought and worried about who would continue with the studies. However, God worked a miracle. She recovered and rejoined her students, resuming the study of the lesson. For Juanita, having people make the decision to be baptized gives meaning to her life. "Only death can stop me," she emphasizes.
On November 21, Juanita and her two Bible students traveled to Lima, Peru, to be baptized during the evangelistic congress "Get Involved! Jesus Is at the Doors," hosted by the local Seventh-day Adventist church. Participants of the event learned their stories of faith, hope, and passion for sharing the truth.
