Condolences of the Seventh-day Adventist Christian Church in connection with the tragedy that occurred in Kazan, Russia

Russia

Seventh-day Adventist Christians are deeply shocked by the tragic events that took place on May 11th at School 175 in Kazan. It was with pain in our hearts that we received the news of this tragedy, which resulted in the death and injury of innocent people, including schoolchildren, teachers, and school staff. In this senseless tragedy, children suffered and died, their future was ruined, the lives of their parents and loved ones were severely impacted forever. Many were injured and remain in serious condition.

The Church of Seventh-day Adventist Christians expresses its sincere condolences to the families and friends of the victims. We are praying for the healing of all affected, and we hope that this tragedy will never again repeat itself.

Human life has the highest value and it was paid for by the life of our Lord Himself, our Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, the Church of Seventh-day Adventist Christians condemns all encroachment on human life and does not accept any justification for violence.

Unfortunately, death still reigns in this world, taking away from us our children, grandchildren, our relatives, and our loved ones. But this will not always be the case! We trust in the soon coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will wipe away all tears of grief and sorrow from our eyes.

We pray that a loving Lord will touch the hearts of everyone who suffered in this tragedy and everyone who has lost a loved one. May hope in the Lord help all of us overcome this tragedy!

Prayerfully,

Chairman of the Euro-Asian Division of the General Conference of the Church of Seventh-day Adventist Christians, Pastor M.F.Kaminsky

Deputy Chairman for Public Relations, Member of the Council for Interaction with Religious Associations under the President of the Russian Federation, Pastor O. Yu. Goncharov.
