At the closing of the Youth Congress, themed "It's coming, Revival and Mission," held at the Peruvian Union University with the objective of strengthening the leadership of young people to guide the new generations, their local churches, and their peers, the volunteers for the project One Year in Mission (OYiM) in the territory of the Adventist Church in northern Peru were presented. They will develop evangelism activities in cities, towns, and native communities without an Adventist presence.

Each year, young Adventists accept this challenge to dedicate their time, gifts, talents, and professional knowledge to the service of others: to share the Word of God and meet the needs of the community.
Huarmey, Chachapoyas, Soritor, Tarapoto, Utcubamba, Cutervo, Sullana, Paita, Eten, and districts of Lima (Jicamarca and San Juan de Lurigancho) without an Adventist presence will be impacted by the volunteers, who will plant new churches and Pathfinder clubs in these places.

The missionaries began their integral preparation through training, workshops, and seminars addressed by professionals specialized in different areas. The leaders of the project also shared the plans and objectives, emphasizing evangelism.

Pastor Alan Cosavalente, Youth Ministries director for the North Peru Union, commented that 18 of the volunteers are Brazilian nationals. They joined this large group of missionaries to live an experience of cultural exchange, communicate hope, and serve in the mission.

In addition, Pastor Daniel Montalvan, president of the North Peru Union, through his testimony, invited congress participants to join this missionary project, renounce what limits them, and dedicate a year of their lives for Christ.

Thus, many more joined and accepted this challenge to dedicate a year in mission and bring more people to the feet of Christ. This year, many of them will live different experiences that will share and strengthen the growth of their home churches.
