The Southern Asia-Pacific Division has introduced LeadLab during its Leadership Summit on March 8–11, 2023. LeadLab is a leadership development initiative launched by the Global Leadership Institute (GLI) at Andrews University (Berrien Springs, MI). The GLI is a collaborative leadership development program supported by the General Conference (GC) of Seventh-day Adventists, with a mission to promote the integrative development of Adventist leaders.

LeadLab is a learning laboratory designed to grow leaders for their mission, supporting their learning on the journey of being an Adventist leader. The GLI offers transformational learning experiences and resources to inspire, equip, and support administrative leaders and their teams to help them fulfill their God-given mission. The program has four distinct phases, each designed to help participants grow and develop as leaders.

"We are excited to introduce LeadLab to the attendees of the Leadership Summit in Bangkok," said Dr. Randy Siebold, co-director of GLI and director of the Doctor of Leadership program at Andrews University. "Our mission is to develop and promote the next generation of Adventist leaders, and LeadLab is a critical part of that effort. We believe that by providing the resources and support necessary for leaders to grow and develop, we can help fulfill our mission and make a positive impact on the world."

LeadLab is a comprehensive program that focuses on personal development, team development, organizational development, and mission development. The first phase of the program focuses on personal development, helping leaders to understand their own strengths and weaknesses and develop the self-awareness needed to lead effectively. The second phase focuses on team development, helping leaders to build strong teams and work effectively with others.

The third phase of the program focuses on organizational development, helping leaders to understand the complex systems and structures within their organizations and develop the skills needed to navigate them successfully. The fourth and final phase of the program focuses on mission development, helping leaders to align their work with the overall mission of the Adventist Church and develop strategies to achieve their goals.

"We believe that LeadLab has the potential to transform the way we develop leaders in the Adventist Church," said Dr. Erich Baumgartner, co-director of GLI and professor of Leadership and Transformation in the School of Leadership at Andrews University. "By providing comprehensive training and support to our leaders, we can ensure that they have the skills and resources they need to lead effectively and to fulfill their mission."

The GLI encourages leaders in all fields to work with their teams to grow growing leaders. For more information about the LeadLab program and how it can benefit your organization, visit the website.
