The Institutional System for Distance Education (SIED) of River Plate Adventist University (Plata Adventist University - UAP) has designed a free, self-managed course to be taken online. This university extension course is based on the work "The Great Controversy" by Ellen G. White, a widely read book that is highly relevant today and based on the Holy Scriptures.

In this regard, the course will offer participants an in-depth exploration of the text, guided by messages prepared by Pastor Robert Costa, director of Evangelism for the General Conference (world headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church), and director and speaker of the television program "It Is Written."Regarding the dynamics of this SIED UAP offering, Magister Carlos Sapia, a member of the system's professional team, stated: "In each lesson, Pastor Costa will provide a general explanation about the chapters of the book to be explored. Subsequently, a reading plan will be exercised, chapter by chapter, of the work, which will be provided from the course in PDF format. At the end of each lesson, a brief quiz will be conducted to consolidate the knowledge covered."

"The Great Controversy" recounts the events of the Christian era and puts them in perspective for the future. A future that, despite everything, will bring peace to people's souls, optimism to existence, and stability to homes. Through this work, Ellen G. White, an American author, reveals God's true plan for humanity with a simple, clear, and definitive style, inspired by the infallible word of the Creator. (Summary provided by South American Publishing Association).

This extension proposal is open to the general public, of any nationality, who wishes to study more about this globally disseminated book. Upon completing the course, participants will receive a university extension certificate (which they can print at home) issued by the university.
