Valéria De Los Ángeles Hernandez Guayulpa, a Venezuelan girl who lives in Pacaraima, Roraima, on the border between Brazil and Venezuela, understood early on that the Adventist children's mission has no minimum age. An active participant in a Children's Small Group of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, she began inviting other children to meet Jesus. Her efforts resulted in four baptisms during Evangelism Kids.

One of the invitations was made to Guayulpa's friend, Victoria Córdova. Initially, Córdova's mother opposed the idea. After several invitations and demonstrations of affection from Guayulpa, the mother accepted. It was in that atmosphere of prayer and study that the two strengthened their friendship.

"One day, when I came home from church, I was praying at home, and I heard a voice in my heart that told me, 'Go find someone to evangelize.' That's how I started inviting my friends," said Guayulpa.

From then on, Guayulpa began studying the Bible with Córdova and other classmates. As a result of that discipleship process, Córdova decided to be baptized during Evangelism Kids, along with three other young men influenced by the girl.

"We met at Sister Teresinha's house. We pray, we sing, we read the Bible and she always tells us a story," Guayulpa said when describing the small group.

The Evangelism Kids program brought together more than 60 children from different locations in the municipality of Pacaraima, including the indigenous communities of Sorocaima I, Bananal, and Tarau Paru. The project aims to prepare the new generation to share the gospel and encourage children and young people to develop a life dedicated to communion, relationships, and mission.

Teresinda Vidinho Queiroz, the teacher responsible for the activities with the children, closely follows stories like Guayulpa's. "What motivates me to continue in this work is seeing children being baptized and taking that motivation to other children. Today, we have about 25 children participating in the small group. I am excited to see children knowing God's love and sharing that love. That's what inspires me to continue serving," said Queiroz.
