On February 26, 2025, the board of trustees of the Istochnik Zhizni (Source of Life) publishing house, under the Euro-Asia Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, gathered for a special visit. In addition to assessing the publishing house’s operations, board members participated in a prayer of thanksgiving for a long-anticipated milestone—the arrival of a new CtP (Computer-to-Plate) machine.
A Transformational Acquisition
For over 20 years, the publishing house had relied on outsourcing to obtain offset plates, an essential component in book printing. The process was costly and time-consuming, requiring plates to be produced externally before being delivered for use. However, in 2024, Istochnik Zhizni was able to acquire its own CtP machine, significantly streamlining production.

With the new equipment, the plate-burning process now takes just three minutes instead of a full day, drastically reducing delays and operational expenses.
“This is a big step for Istochnik Zhizni because now our mission will be carried out even more effectively,” said Daniil Vasilyevich Lovska, general director of the publishing house. “Dear brothers and sisters, thank you for your help in purchasing this machine.”
A Collective Effort
The acquisition was made possible through funding from the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Euro-Asia Division, as well as generous donations from church members who supported the expansion of the publishing ministry.

Church leaders emphasized that this technological advancement would strengthen the publishing house’s ability to produce literature aimed at sharing the message of Christ with new audiences. With improved efficiency and lower production costs, Istochnik Zhizni will increase its reach across the region, distributing materials that support evangelism and spiritual growth.
As the publishing house looks ahead, staff and church leaders view this development as not just an operational improvement but as a fulfillment of a long-time dream—one that will allow them to continue their mission with greater impact.
