The Seventh-day Adventist Church is “back on the box,” as is said in the South Pacific.

“Connections,” a magazine program for families produced by the church’s Wahroonga, New South Wales-based Adventist Media Center, is airing on the Australian Christian Channel and on Shine Television in New Zealand on Friday evenings.

“The program contains many of the answers to questions we may have about the desperate world in which we live,” says David Gibbons, marketing director for Adventist Media. “It also shows Adventists as having a quality life and a hope for the future.”

The church makes two offers in each program. The first is for a home study course focusing on health, relationships and scripture. The second is for a free home viewing of a video with spiritual and Christian themes. Viewers are invited to call a toll-free number for more information.

Gibbons says the program’s timeslots—8 p.m. in Australia and 7 p.m. in New Zealand—are good for families. “Friday night is typically a family night.”
