Patients and families in the Southwest and Midwest United States deciding where to receive care can use the 2026-2027 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings as a source of information, where dozens of AdventHealth hospitals across the country are recognized for performance in specialty care, procedures, and conditions.

Thirty AdventHealth hospitals in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, and North Carolina earned a total of 180 “High Performing” ratings across specialty care, procedures, and conditions, including heart care, cancer surgery, joint replacement, stroke, and pneumonia. Together, the ratings reflect the breadth of advanced care available to patients across AdventHealth.

U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions using a detailed methodology. Only 16 per cent of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals designation, including 10 AdventHealth hospitals named Best Regional Hospitals, a designation based on performance across multiple types of care patients seek most often.

For patients in Central Florida, the results reflect access to nationally recognized specialty care without leaving their community. AdventHealth Orlando was ranked the Number One hospital in the Orlando metro area and Number Two in Florida, with recognition in six adult specialties at the national, state, and metro levels and 24 High Performing ratings.

AdventHealth Orlando placed among the nation’s top 50 for cardiology, heart, and vascular surgery; diabetes and endocrinology; gastroenterology and GI surgery; and obstetrics and gynecology. It also earned state and metro specialty rankings for cancer care and rehabilitation.

People in Volusia and Flagler counties in Florida also have nationally recognized care nearby, with AdventHealth Daytona Beach ranking number 1 in the Deltona-Daytona Beach metro area and Number 11 in Florida. Its rehabilitation program ranked Number One in the metro area and Number Four statewide.

Eight AdventHealth hospitals earned Best Regional Hospital recognition in Florida, including three in the Tampa Bay area.

The results also demonstrate the reach of AdventHealth’s advanced care across communities in multiple states, with AdventHealth Shawnee Mission ranking Number Two in Kansas, and AdventHealth Redmond ranking Number 13 in Georgia.
