The New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) voted Friday, November 9, to continue the full accreditation of Atlantic Union College, a Seventh-day Adventist institution in South Lancaster, Massachusetts, United States.
In 1998, NEASC granted Atlantic Union College ten years accreditation with an interim site visit in April 2001. Following the site visits, NEASC requested that AUC prepare a “Show Cause” document to answer expressed concerns.
At the conclusion of the November 9 meeting, the NEASC informed AUC’s administrators that they were pleased with the report submitted. Their decision was that the college would retain full accreditation.
NEASC plans to conduct a site visit in late 2002 instead of April 2003 as originally planned.
