The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Minnesota has ordered more than 2 million copies of the special issue of Signs of the Times—“Where was God?”, reports Bob Kyte, president of Pacific Press, an Adventist publishing company in Nampa, Idaho, United States.
As a response to the events of September 11, this magazine will be mailed direct to every home in the State of Minnesota. “We have already ordered four truckloads of paper and plan to ship five truckloads of finished magazines to Minnesota, where they will be put into the United States Postal Service system,” states Kyte.
Pacific Press will include a custom-designed response card for the Adventist Church in Minnesota. “Pacific Press is excited about the impact that such a ‘leaves of autumn’ project can have on the recipients of this publication,” says Kyte. “We commend and thank the Minnesota Conference and the generous donation of a lay person that made Project Minnesota a reality, and pray these magazines will have significant, positive impact on the lives of those who receive them.”
Project Minnesota is “mission at its finest,” says Pastor Jan Paulsen, president of the Adventist Church worldwide. He notes that it is taking place in a part of the world where it is not always easy to reach large numbers of people. “I am immensely pleased with this initiative,” he says. “The Lord will bless it and it will have an impact.”
