Sophia Helena Moreira de Oliveira, aged just 11, experienced a significant milestone in her young career. Born in Madureira, located in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she showcased three new artworks at the prestigious International Contemporary Art Fair held at the Carrousel du Louvre. The exhibition took place from October 18 to 20, 2024.

In December 2023, Oliveira learned that her works would be exhibited at the Carrousel du Louvre. Since then, she was fully committed to preparing three paintings for the exhibition. She said, "For me, painting is a pleasurable and peaceful experience. This preparation was hectic, but it was also enjoyable."

The works chosen for the exhibition were: Under the Sea, The Miss, and Beautiful. These are paintings that represent Oliveira's creativity and freedom with the brush. "I start painting with some lines and stains, then I imagine what it could become and I do it. Sometimes, I mix the abstract with the figurative too", she explained.

Happiness and gratitude marked the days the family spent in Paris. "We had been looking forward to this moment, and we thank God that everything went well. We praise Him for all the care and for helping to make this great dream come true," says the artist's mother, Daniele Moreira.

Oliveira's artistic journey began at the age of six, at the Adventist College of Jacarepaguá, when she demonstrated artistic abilities that were different from other children her age. Her pre-school teacher contacted her mother and asked her to invest in this gift. At the age of eight, she enrolled in an art school to learn the techniques and improve her skills.

At the age of 11, she has already produced 28 works. She currently paints landscapes, animals, and abstract art with acrylic paint. She aims to inspire the viewer to have "joy, positive thoughts, and an interest in art and culture".
