The special week, themed "Together bringing peace and hope," came to an end. It was a celebration for the launching of Radio Nuevo Tiempo 103.3 FM—with coverage for the city of Lima and its provinces—which has been transmitting the programming of hope for four months to more than 10 million Peruvians.

The 103.3 FM frequency was acquired on November 2, 2022. It is the only Christian FM radio station with transmission in all of Metropolitan Lima, with an extension of 70 kilometers to the north, 70 kilometers to the south, and 60 kilometers to the east.

The special week, which took place from June 26–30, 2023, had as main speakers Pastor Joel Flores, evangelist for the Nuevo Tiempo Network, and Pastor Alejandro Bullón, now-retired South American evangelist, on Sabbath, July 1.

The celebration gathered more than 6,000 people at the Villa Union Church of Peruvian Union University and was transmitted through social networks. Also present at the event were Pastor Tomas Parra, New Time Radio director for South America; Pastor Josias Souza, New Time Network Finance officer; Pastor Eduardo Canales, Adventist World Radio director for the three Americas; and Pastor Ray Allen, vice president of Adventist World Radio.

New Time Bible School

During the program, the work of the New Time Bible School in Peru, led by Pastor Anthony Araujo, whose objective is to attract, serve, and baptize, was presented.

Through the radio, listeners are invited to apply for a Bible course and attend a host Adventist church or New Time Spaces to develop the Bible courses.

As a result of this work, carried out by the announcers, Nuevo Tiempo promoters, and district pastors, 1,000 people who completed a series of Bible studies graduated at the closing ceremony of the campaign, and hundreds decided to be baptized.

The testimony of Nancy, a faithful listener of Radio Nuevo Tiempo, who managed to get out of a severe depression thanks to the programming, was also heard. This story was one of the many that motivates the team to continue preaching the Gospel through radio transmission. For this reason, the church gave a special offering.

At the end of the worship service, Pastor Bullón motivated and challenged the church to be missionary-minded and take salvation to the world. "God challenges you to be an instrument of communication of the Gospel," he emphasized.

The original version of this story was posted on the South American Division Spanish-language news site.
