The inhabitants of the Peruvian jungle are experiencing a critical situation due to flooding caused by heavy rains and the overflowing of the Ucayali River. Under these circumstances, the emergency protocol of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA Peru) was activated for the city of Pucallpa (a territory of the Peruvian Eastern Mission - MOP) to provide aid to those affected. The first to respond to the call were members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, who voluntarily joined this charitable effort.
According to local media, this is one of the most severe floods in 15 years, affecting residents' homes and putting their health at risk. Here, ADRA Peru volunteers transport and deliver hot meals to the most vulnerable.

Effects of the Emergency
In this territory, the start of the 2025 school year has been postponed to protect students and teachers, while shelters are set up and support measures are coordinated. To access some areas, people are using boats as a means of transportation and then making their way on foot. Elderly adults and children are the most affected. Families are staying in a temporary shelter located in the Aliardo Soria Pérez stadium in the city of Pucallpa.
