Saturday service in Zaokskoye dedicated to World Adventurer's Day

On May 15th, the Zaoksky Searching Club, together with the community, celebrated World Adventurer's Day. The theme of the service was: "Let's go together to different cultures, peoples and countries." The members of the club prepared for this event for a month and a half in order to perform well and glorify the Name of the Lord. The children took part in every part of the service - general singing, worship service, collection of gifts, Sabbath school, children's story, and even preaching.

The format of the Sabbath School was unexpected for the audience, when they saw very young children aged 7-9 taking the stage instead of the adults. They were faced with the daunting task of answering adult questions about God's covenant. It was amazing to see the Adventurers recite all the Ten Commandments by heart and explain in their own words what a covenant with God is. At the end of Sabbath School, the children asked the question, "What does it mean to be close to God?" 

During the break, between the first and second parts of the service, viewers could see a video from the life of adventure seekers in Zaokskoye. The children also distributed brochures with photographs and descriptions of the activities that took place in the club to those present in the hall.

The second part of the program began with a solemn glorification of the Lord by singing psalms. The six-year-old members of the "Bee" club recited an expressive poem. The performances of the children's choir and the musical ensemble were also a special part of the service.

More than fifty children took the stage to recite the Adventurer's Law and Promise. The kids from the Bobryata club recited the Lord’s Prayer, after which everyone stayed on the stage and listened to an interesting children's story, accompanied by a visual experience conducted by girls from the "Helpers" (9 years old) and "Luchiki" clubs (7 years old).

The audience was then presented with a video showing young evangelists, club members distributing books with their parents to their friends and acquaintances and sharing their experiences. They learned the main secret that one who serves God is never bored.

Before the sermon, the biblical verse Ps. 104:1 was read in different languages. This helped the following participants to muster the courage to tell amazing stories from the lives of Christians. The children's speeches were supported by the Director of the Youth Ministry Department of the West Russian Union Lev Ivanovich Bondarchuk, who revealed in his sermon the need to strive for God's peace in the heart.

The celebration of Adventurer's Day did not end with the morning worship service. In the evening, the young members of the club put on their ties and went to a class dedicated to the countries of the world. Children learned interesting facts about Israel, Ukraine, Russia, Italy and Hawaii, and tasted traditional food from these countries while playing games. Everyone went home in a good mood and with memorable stripes.

The next day, church members gathered in the park near the pond and planted trees and bushes. Children helped with digging holes, planting, and watering plants. 

We hope this wonderful holiday will forever remain in the memory of our Adventurers and encourage them to take part in services more often in the future to the glory of God.
