The underprivileged population of Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, benefited from the Christmas Mutirão carried out by the employees of the Adventist Hospital of Pênfigo. The campaign collected two tons of food for Lar Lygia Hans and two communities in the city.
The union of the employees resulted in the collection of a ton of food. In response to the action, the hospital doubled the number of donations, totaling two tons.
The hospital chaplains went to deliver the basic food baskets and took the time to pray with and also bring words of hope to the families.
For one of the residents of the Só Por Deus community, Luciene Oliveira, the donation came at a good time, mainly because of the pandemic. "[I] would like to thank [the hospital]. This action is very important. In this pandemic, many people are experiencing difficulties and even hunger”, he details.
Maria Lindalva, who was also benefited, reinforces the difficulty experienced by her and her neighbors. “Things are difficult, and when we get a donation, it's wonderful. Everyone is in need. I thank God and you”, she stressed.
