Members of the Partido Alto Adventist Church in the city of Tarapoto, located in the Peruvian jungle, have carried out a missionary project that has touched the lives of many people at a local rehabilitation center. With the support of Pastor Luis Carhuanina, these missionary afternoons have become a tool of change.

Since last year, these dedicated Adventists have regularly visited the rehabilitation center, sharing the message of restoration in Jesus with the inmates. With patience and love, they have taught about the transformation that only God can provide. And the results have been remarkable.

Of the 52 inmates who participated in the Bible studies, a total of 32 made the decision to be baptized during "The Last Victory" event, marking a significant decision in their lives. This act of faith not only symbolizes your commitment to God, but also your decision to abandon a painful past and embrace a new life in Christ.

Pastor Carhuanina, who has also experienced transformation in Christ in his own life, has been a key figure in this project. By sharing his personal testimony of how God brought him out of a destructive lifestyle to become an Adventist pastor, he has inspired many to believe in the possibility of genuine change.

Church in Mission

But the work does not end with baptism. With the beginning of Sabbath School on Saturdays and accessions every Sunday, we seek to continue nurturing and strengthening the faith of these new converts. The church not only offers them spiritual support, but also its community support to facilitate their rehabilitation process and reintegration into society.

This exciting project has not only impacted those within the rehabilitation center, but has also motivated the church to expand its mission work. Similar initiatives are already being planned in other centers, such as in the city of Yurimaguas, with the aim of continuing to spread the love of God and transform lives.

Pastor Carhuanina expressed his gratitude to God for allowing him to be part of this redemptive work and encouraged the Adventist community to continue their labor of love and service. "God works miracles and we are seeing the power of his transformative love in action here in Tarapoto," says the pastor.

This story of hope and redemption is a reminder that, even in the darkest places, Christ changes lives forever. The High Party Adventist Church is committed to continuing to be a beacon of hope in its community and beyond, demonstrating that with God, all things are possible.
