The Nuevo Tiempo Communications Network in Uruguay has announced the expansion of its broadcast presence with the addition of a new radio station in Paysandú, a city of over 100,000 residents in the northwest region of the country.

Formerly known as Casino FM, 96.3 FM officially joined the Radio Nuevo Tiempo network across South America on June 5, 2025. Nuevo Tiempo is the Spanish Christian television and radio channel across Central and South America.

The move strengthens the network’s coverage in Uruguay and deepens its connection with families across the country.

Test transmissions began on June 11, with an official launch event scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, June 21, at the station’s facilities located at Montecaseros 640 in Paysandú.

As part of the expansion, Radio Nuevo Tiempo will begin airing two hours of locally produced content from Paysandú each weekday. This programming will complement the nine hours of national content already broadcast from Montevideo and Maldonado, bringing the total to 11 hours of national coverage Monday through Friday.

Radio Nuevo Tiempo leaders purchase the radio station in Paysandú through donations.

The network’s continued growth reflects its mission to “communicate with purpose,” promoting holistic well-being through content that supports emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
