On June 18, 2024, Novo Tempo, the Portuguese Christian TV channel and radio station for Brazil, opened its newest studio, measuring about 3197 square feet (297 square meters). Leaders from the administrative headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brazil and other institutions such as the food industry Superbom and the Casa Publicadora Brasileira, CPB (Brazilian Publishing House) attended the event. The new space will be used for various recordings, further expanding the channel's service in presenting the hope of Jesus' soon return to more people.

Speaking of hope, Wagner Cantori, manager of the web department at Novo Tempo, took a closer look at Esperança, a virtual biblical instructor who has studied the Bible with thousands of people. There was even a “live” interaction between her and Cantori and, later, between her and Antonio Tostes, general director of Novo Tempo, and Stanley Arco, president of the South American Division.

Hope Everywhere

As an illustration of the impact of the Esperança service, which operates 24/7, the story of Thamires Rosa da Silva was shared. Thamires, a mother, felt like something was missing from her life despite having a family. That’s when a neighbor introduced her to Novo Tempo. She started watching the program on YouTube and even got Internet installed on her rural property just to keep up with the channel.

Da Silva heard about the virtual biblical instructor Esperança in one of the programs she watched. Soon, she got in touch via WhatsApp and sent a message. Together, they began to study the Bible. After three complete Bible studies, she decided to give herself to Jesus through baptism, which took place at this meeting. Everyone was able to witness Da Silva's and her eldest daughter, Ester Rosa's, baptism.

In the end, each department, such as Marketing, Radio, TV, and Bible School, presented a brief report on the work carried out so far in 2024 as part of the Novo Tempo Steering Committee, an internal meeting that makes some decisions involving the institution.

For Arco, it is a privilege to dedicate another Novo Tempo studio to God. “This studio will serve not only TV, but other departments at Novo Tempo, such as the Web, which showed today that Artificial Intelligence has its role and we can’t even imagine how much good it will produce for evangelism.” He ended by saying, “It is exciting to be able to participate in this and know, to count on the presence of God, with the Holy Spirit acting on each person who is involved in specific details for carrying out projects within this studio”.
