The event was attended by leaders from the General Conference (GC), including Ted Wilson, president of the GC, and from the NSD and the Korean Union Conference (KUC). Special guests from countries including Japan, Taiwan, and Mongolia also joined, lending their support and encouragement to the soon-to-be-dispatched missionaries. Together, they prayed with a shared appreciation for the dedication and sacrifice of the early missionaries who first brought the gospel to Korea.

Wilson encouraged the missionaries in his message, saying, “Every morning, spend time with Jesus, and look to the throne of God, who has called you to your mission field for strength. If you fully surrender to God, He will motivate and encourage you. I hope you will dedicate your future and life to Jesus with a heart that loves God.” He expressed gratitude on behalf of the global church.

In a welcoming address, Kim YoHan, president of the NSD, said, “It is never an easy decision to go as a missionary to a foreign place. I am grateful to those who volunteered in such challenging times. You are never alone. The church leaders and members gathered here will continue to pray and support you while you’re in the mission field.”

Representing the PMM missionaries, YunHo shared a commitment message, saying, “I stand here by a holy calling. Though I feel much fear and trembling, I will kneel in trust of God. Remembering that God’s calling is without regret, I will follow Jesus’ path. I will serve with all my heart and return after giving my best.” He requested prayers for all missionaries.

Kim JuEl, representing the PCM missionaries, spoke, “I am grateful to God for inviting me to the work of hastening the Second Coming. I will cleanse my heart daily with the cross of Christ and offer my heart to the Lord. Following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I go forth with empty hands, relying only on God, who will use us. Freely we have received love, and freely we will give it.”
