Former Oakwood College theology professor and Seventh-day Adventist Church administrator Calvin Edwin Moseley Jr. died January 28 at age 95. Moseley, who gained the affectionate title “father of preachers” during his tenure training Adventist pastors at Oakwood College, Alabama, also served as a general field secretary of the Adventist Church worldwide. Moseley received his early bible training from the eminent black researcher George Washington Carver.
