A Seventh-day Adventist congregation that started meeting in a small shack in 1925 moved into its first permanent church Jan. 25, with more than 300 people attending the dedication ceremony for the Cadena II Church in Cadena, Cuba.

The new church represents a tremendous miracle to its members who have been praying for many years that God would provide a permanent place to worship.

Lázaro Valdés Lugo, pastor of the Cadena II congregation, said that they are eager to start filling the new church. “We will show our gratitude by making sure everyone in our community is acquainted with Jesus Christ.”

Funding for the Cadena II Church was provided by Seniors in Action for God with Excellence, and donors of Maranatha Volunteers International, which also provided construction.
