The Women’s Ministries Department of the Nepal Section recently celebrated the 30th anniversary of Adventist Women’s Ministries, commemorating three decades of faith, service, and spiritual growth worldwide.
To express gratitude for God’s faithfulness, Adventist church leaders in Nepal organized nationwide commemorative events and worship services.
Eastern and Central Nepal hosted the main celebrations. From May 16 to 17, 2025, organizers held a Level 2 Women’s Leadership Certification program in Udayapur, Eastern Nepal.
On May 17, more than 110 women gathered for a special worship service to reflect on the journey of Women’s Ministries. Among them, 58 women leaders, including pastors’ wives, completed the certification program. Participants concluded the event with a cake-cutting ceremony and a fellowship lunch, creating a warm atmosphere in which to share testimonies and reaffirm their commitment.

On June 7, Banepa in Central Nepal hosted a combined celebration of the 30th Anniversary and Women’s Emphasis Day. More than 145 women from five churches in the Kathmandu Valley came together to celebrate this milestone.
Reflecting on the occasion, Shanti Pokharel, Women’s Ministries director of the Nepal Section, said, “These 30 years are a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the tireless efforts of women who have served their families, churches, and communities. We are not only celebrating the past—we are embracing the future that Spirit-filled women will continue to shape.”
As the church commemorates this significant anniversary, it remains dedicated to empowering and encouraging women throughout Nepal to lead, serve, and uplift others in the name of Christ.
