Hundreds of Seventh-day Adventist women across Mozambique are participating in an outreach education program. Organized by Carolina Lubambo, women’s ministries director for the Adventist Church in Mozambique, the nationwide program has concentrated on homiletics, how to conduct Bible studies, and evangelistic training.
Some 500 hundred women have already completed the three-week course and have begun work within their local churches. Lubambo reports that several hundred people have been baptized as a direct result of the enthusiasm and activity of these women.
The Adventist Church has operated in Mozambique since 1933. There are more than 145,000 Adventist church members in this southern African country, worshiping in some 830 churches.
