On May 30, in the central square of the city of Chernivtsi, "Health Day—2021", a cultural and educational event, was held. It was organized by the public movement "Chernivtsi for a Healthy Lifestyle" and local communities of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The action is timed to coincide with World No Tobacco Day, the purpose of which is to popularize a healthy lifestyle, especially among children and young people.

In the central square, a mobile point for exchanging cigarettes for fruit was installed, where those who wished could exchange their cigarettes for healthy apples or bananas.

Thematic contests were held for children, as was the traditional distribution of balloons, on which motivational calls for a healthy lifestyle were written. At the information stands, the townspeople could familiarize themselves with the basic principles of health.

At another mobile point, residents of the city could get a free consultation from doctors. It was also possible to measure blood pressure, body fat percentage, blood glucose, and biological age.

A brass band took part in the event, which created a festive atmosphere, and singing was also performed by vocalists Natalia Krachkovskaya, Olesya Lupulishena, and Bogdan Lototsky.

"Health Day" has been held for several years. The organizers hope to draw public attention to the problems of tobacco smoking, obesity, and the need to take care of their health.
