Korean Church Launches Device Donation Drive to Support Sri Lanka Mission

The East Central Korean Conference (ECKC) Digital Evangelism department is running a focused donation campaign to collect unused smartphones, tablet PCs, and laptops for mission work in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lanka Mission is part of the Northern Asia-Pacific Division.

The department noted that mobile devices can serve as powerful tools for connection and gospel sharing, encouraging members to see their unused electronics as “channels of hope and salvation” for people in Sri Lanka.

Ham MinHo, director of Digital Evangelism for the ECKC, called for support, saying, “Your unused device can make a meaningful difference for global mission. We invite all members to contribute to this goal.”

At the same time, the Sri Lanka Mission is pursuing renewed evangelistic momentum through its Arise Sri Lanka church revitalization project. Under the leadership of Mission president Jung HyoSoo, the initiative focuses on motivating members, strengthening small group evangelism, remodeling support systems, and fostering sister church partnerships.

Rather than concentrating on one-time evangelistic meetings or baptismal events, the goal is holistic revival through re-education and leadership training to renew the entire church, mission leaders say.

Jung explained that the project is “a contextualized version of the Global Discipleship Evangelism program currently being implemented worldwide,” and emphasized that it is “not merely about repairing church buildings or external improvements, but a comprehensive restoration movement centered on spiritual renewal and the recovery of missionary passion.”
