A new feature-length broadcast focusing on the three key issues that make up the Adventist Church’s new strategic plan will be aired by Adventist Television Network, the worldwide church’s international satellite system, next month. Currently being filmed in India, and featuring Adventist world president Jan Paulsen, it explores the issues of unity, quality of life, and growth against the backdrop of the rapidly growing church in India.

“India provides a unique case study for the key values of the church’s strategic plan,” says Michael Ryan, special assistant to the president for strategic planning. “How does a church in a country of more than a billion people, 1,600 languages and thousands of different tribes maintain a sense of unity? How does the Adventist Church even start to face the challenge of an effective witness in such a country? What is the church in India and around the world doing for the quality of life of church members and the community?”

“To the Heart of the World: A Growing Church in India and Around the World” will air December 14 and 15. This one-hour program is the first in a series that will feature the strategic plan of the church in action around the world.
