Women across Taiwan are leading a growing prayer movement that is bringing renewed spiritual vitality to local Seventh-day Adventist churches. Through regular prayer meetings, small groups, seminars, and training initiatives, churches are creating new opportunities for women to deepen their relationship with God.

Leaders say the movement responds to the increasing pressures of modern life, where busy schedules often push spiritual priorities aside. By placing prayer at the center of daily life, participants are rediscovering spiritual strength and resilience.

“We need to receive daily new grace from heaven, and this is only possible through prayer and communion with God daily,” said Joyce Chen, Women’s Ministries director in Taiwan.

Participants are not only gathering to pray but also supporting their families, strengthening their churches, and serving their communities. Church leaders report growing spiritual engagement, including renewed commitment and deeper faith among members.

The initiative also aligns with the broader Adventist Church's I Will Go Strategic Plan, which emphasizes communion with God as the foundation of mission.

“Prayer is vital to renew our fellowship with Jesus for the day,” said Raquel Arrais, Women's Ministries director in the Northern Asia-Pacific Division. “Without this, the joy and power of the Holy Spirit in daily life cannot be experienced.”

In Taiwan, women are taking the lead, demonstrating that even in busy urban life, prayer can remain the first and most essential priority. As the movement continues to expand, leaders expect it to strengthen both individuals and congregations. They note that lasting renewal often begins quietly through consistent personal devotion.
