In April 2021, HopeMedia Spain started an evangelization project through social media. From those first tests until May 2022, 30 churches have participated, with 906 people providing their contact information, of which 237 are already studying the Bible in different cities of Spain, and four have been baptized. From surfing social networks to the waters of baptism!

Of What Does It Consist?

From its official accounts, HopeMedia Spain posted advertising on Facebook and Instagram offering Bible studies. These ads appear by geolocation in different cities.

Users see these ads while browsing their social networks, and those interested click on them, providing HopeMedia with their contact information for communication purposes. “Whatever may have been your former practice, it is not necessary to repeat it again and again in the same way. God would have new and untried methods followed. Break in upon the people—surprise them” (Ellen G. White, Evangelism, p. 125).

A Church Involved

To carry out this project, the local church members also need to attend Bible studies. What church would not want something like that? To do this, HopeMedia encourages lay members wishing to teach Bible studies to become volunteer tutors who will attend to those interested.

These tutors must complete the online course on “How to lead a Bible study” and have a good understanding of the Bible study material they will teach. Another requirement along with the course is the training they receive in their local churches in this regard.

On the other hand, HopeMedia recommends that, together with the team of tutors, there is a prayer team in each church. This prayer team stays united in praying for three specific things: those interested in the program, the tutors, and the acting of the Holy Spirit through these digital campaigns.

In this way, each member is involved in the mission, either through direct contact with those interested or through the basic spiritual support of prayer.

The Digital Campaign

When the local church is ready, the digital campaign is then started on social platforms. For a month, video and image ads appear on both Facebook and Instagram, in the selected cities. Normally, four or five churches are included in each campaign.

Through HopeMedia and The Voice of Hope, those interested who have provided their contact information are linked with local tutors.

This allows local tutors to establish direct contact with those interested in their city with the aim of starting meetings where they can study the Bible, either by video call or in person.

Blessings and Following Campaigns

Proof that the Holy Spirit is working through these campaigns to bear fruit is seen in the four baptisms that have already transpired, while others are preparing to take that step and still others are at least regularly attending local groups and churches.

For the rest of 2022, HopeMedia leaders hope to carry out four more digital campaigns that will cover another 25 churches.

HopeMedia leaders ask that you pray for all the people involved so many more may encounter Jesus. There is a hunger for the Word of God; it is time to continue sharing hope!

We will be more than willing to explain the entire process, steps to follow, technical know-how, and everything you need to enjoy this blessing.

“Let every worker in the Master’s vineyard study, plan, devise methods, to reach the people where they are. We must do something out of the common course of things. We must arrest the attention” (Ibid., p. 122).

If you wish to support this project, you can do so through this link, either with your prayers, messages of encouragement, or a financial donation to help us cover the advertising costs, management, and biblical studies.

If you want to train in digital evangelization, you can access the course at academia.hopemedia.es, where you will find practical knowledge on how to be a hybrid church.
