A Seventh-day Adventist streaming TV service, Feliz7Play, is now available on smart TVs in Brazil. The Adventist service partnered with SoulTV, an interactive service, to offer broadcast streaming to LG-brand sets; it’s expected SoulTV will expand its offering to other smart TV platforms.

According to global market research firm GFK, Brazilian sales of smart TV sets have jumped by 4 percent in the first half of 2020, due to the pandemic creating at-home time for families.

“This is a step towards reaching more people in their environment, in a more accessible manner. Some people don't like browsing around for content. Therefore, this app allows the search and delivery of dynamic content, as if the viewer were on a traditional TV channel,” said Carlos Magalhães, manager of the digital strategies department at the Adventist Church's South American headquarters.

Movies, original series, documentaries, sermons, and specific productions for children are available at Feliz7Play, which today curates more than 450 hours of videos in Portuguese and Spanish. Data released in June shows the streaming service has received more than 50 million views in just three years.

New audiences

The partnership is seen by Magalhães as “enhancing the content, especially for audiences who do not yet know feliz7play.com or its application for mobile devices. That's a good development, since millions of LG users worldwide can access SoulTV and the Streaming Adventist programming," he said.

To watch Feliz7Play on an LG smart TV, just install the SoulTV app from the LG app store. Then, search for the Feliz7Play channel and add it.
