A “Day of Health and Positive” was held on Sunday, June 20th; this was an event held for the first time in the Rostov community and included a health exhibition, active training for teenagers, a children's program, the sale of health food store products and goods from a book center, as well as a musical and educational program over a cup of tea. The meeting was attended by over 60 people, about 30 of them were church guests. Among the invitees there were also people who found themselves in difficult life situations and are currently being helped by one of the Rostov volunteer groups.
Health Principles Exhibition
A health exhibition was held for the guests in the courtyard of the Prayer House. The eight principles of health were captured on large stands and detailed information could be obtained from the volunteers at each booth.
The laws of nature - for the benefit of people
Near the entrance, young researchers presented guests the opportunity to participate in numerous experiments that taught them about the coordination of movements, dexterity, and reaction speed.
Positive in everything
After the health exhibition, the guests were invited to a tea party in order to devote time not only to learning about health, but also to enjoy a positive, uplifting and peaceful environment. The guests were invited to taste a variety of treats, enjoy peaceful songs, hear encouraging words, and receive prizes and gifts.
Together with the presenters, everyone came to the conclusion that summer is wonderful, but it is very important that it is also sunny and beautiful not only on the street but also in our inner world. Therefore, the audience was invited to greet each other with smiles and sing along with a famous song about a smile and a good mood.
Especially a holiday
The presenters urged guests to rejoice every day and also spent time remembering the several holidays that fell on that particular day, including the Day of the Medical Worker. Those who represented the medical field were presented with useful gifts - apples.
In addition, since Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June in many countries, each father was given a small present. But perhaps the most significant event that landed on this same day was the Orthodox Feast of the Holy Trinity, or, Pentecost. In his speech, the pastor detailed the biblical story that became the basis of this holiday, and also dwelt on the role of the three persons of the Godhead in our salvation.
The entire program was accompanied by beautiful themed music pieces.
At the end of the event, the results of a win-win lottery for visitors to the book center were summed up. As a parting gift, everyone received health magazines and Christian books.
