For the first time, the complete Seventh-day Adventist Church Manual can be viewed on the Internet and downloaded free to Palm Pilots and PocketPC’s.

“The project was part of our efforts to make this important document as widely accessible as possible,” says Vernon Parmenter, an associate secretary of the Adventist world church and secretary of the Church Manual Committee.

The Church Manual, first published in 1932, expresses the church’s understanding of Christian life and church governance. The 259-page book covers topics ranging from the church’s worldwide organization, to the roles of officers in local churches, to standards of Christian living.

The Church Manual can be viewed at the Adventist Church’s Web site at www.adventist.org, reports John Beckett, assistant director in the world church’s communication department and Web master for the church’s site.

All the components necessary to install the Church Manual on Palm Pilots and PocketPCs are also available on the site. The document is easy to download and install, says Beckett. Go to www.adventist.org/churchmanual .
