On January 30, the participants of the Abraham Mission project, together with the Health Department of the First Adventist community in Samara, organized and held a children's health exhibition for children aged 4 to 10 years old.

“The younger generation is our future… [and] children grow up very quickly, so, we must [start thinking] about [their future impact] today. [We must consider] what kind of society [they are growing up in], and what views the younger generation has. At such events, we… emphasize the importance of a proper lifestyle, physical health, and spiritual growth,” said Lilia, one of the organizers of the health exhibition.

In total, ten children came to the solemn and exciting event, which was called,"The Country of Health". They were able to learn about the principles of a healthy lifestyle in a play-based way. Next to the children, their parents walked, watching how the kids listened with enthusiasm and assimilated the information given at the stations.

“You know, I really liked it. As a mother, I am glad when such [events] and projects are organized. It is very [pleasing] to realize that there is a desire to speak on such important and [relevant] topics. In our [day], [health] is more important than ever, ” said Olga, the mother of one of the children.

“We see a great need for such activities for children. By involving children and teaching them, there is an opportunity not only to tell children about the importance of health, but also through children to reach out to the hearts of parents and reveal to them the great plan of salvation,” said Sophia, a participant of the Mission of Abraham project.

At the end of the program, everyone was able to participate in a mini-quiz to find out what the children had learned, and after that, each child received children's Christian magazines, healthy lifestyle guides, sweet healthy bars, and the parents received books on spiritual health. The event concluded with the children and the organizers of the event playing outdoor games together.

“I memorized how much water to drink, and I also liked the cards with sleeping animals and the warm-up. I'll try to do it in the morning. The exhibition is interesting, I knew a lot, but not everything about emotions. Thank you for the Exhibition and the gifts,” said Egor shyly, a child participant of the program.

Health exhibitions are not held very often in Samara for either adults or children. But looking at this small group of children, burning with real interest, comes the realization of how effective this special ministry is. Therefore, taking into account the amazing success of this event, the next goal is to increase the number of participants!

May God bless the host team as they prepare new events!
