Children Save for the Maná Project

The Maná Project takes place annually and encourages Sabbath School students to sign their lesson. In this way, every quarter, they study the same biblical content in more than 200 countries where there is an Adventist presence.

For the kids, it's no different. Each lesson covers an appropriate age group, and kids are also encouraged to save money to subscribe to their lesson. Therefore, Adjane Firme, director of the Ministry of Children and Adolescents for the central region of Rio de Janeiro, launched the Maná Kids Project in March 2021.

Since then, parents and teachers have been motivating their children to save up to subscribe to the Sabbath School Lesson. “This year, we presented each child with a piggy bank and a pack of stickers to be highlighted weekly, as the child managed to make his/her small savings”, explains Firme.

The classes in the Sabbath School Children's Department are divided into age groups: Cradle Roll (0–3 years), Kindergarten (4–7 years), Primary (8–10 years), Youth (11–13 years), and Adolescents (14–17 years). After that is the Youth class (18-35) and, lastly, the Adult class. For each of them, there is a lesson with the theme in the quarter.
