Rodrigo Silva, PhD in Theology and Biblical Archaeology and professor at the Adventist University Center of São Paulo (UNASP), was one of the big winners of the iBest Award, an evening recognizing digital influencers, held on March 24th, in São Paulo, Brazil.

Rodrigo Silva, who also hosts the program Evidências (Evidences) on Novo Tempo, received the most votes in the Religion Influencer category. The awards ceremony brought together 473 finalists in 119 categories, grouped into four segments: e-commerce, financial services, services and content, in addition to a special category.

Winners were selected through a dual voting process combining public participation and technical evaluation. Over approximately four months, public voting narrowed nominees to a top 20, then to 10, followed by three finalists and a single winner. A panel of experts in the digital field also evaluated candidates. According to organizers, the 2026 edition engaged 45 million participants.

Silva described the award as a big surprise and attributes the achievement to God, acknowledging that there are influencers in the religious field with many more followers than him.

He also expressed gratitude to his wife Laura, his unborn daughter, and the teams from UNASP, the Next company, and the Museum of Biblical Archaeology.

"I am also deeply grateful to my leaders, who always value and encourage this purpose. I am fully convinced that this recognition is not intended to exalt my name, but to broaden the opportunity to speak of Christ—and reach even more people with His message," he said.
