In a visit to a Seventh-day Adventist elementary school last week, the Governor-General of the Bahamas commended the Adventist Church for its work in education and for training many of the nation’s leaders. His Excellency Sir Orville Turnquest spoke to the teachers and students, challenging them to “be the best you can be with the talents given to you by God.” His Excellency toured the school facilities and listened as the students performed musical items and recited poetry.

There are more than 11,000 Adventist Church members in the Bahamas who support two elementary schools and one secondary school, with a combined enrollment of more than 1,100 students.
