The River Plate Sanitarium and Hospital (SAP) and the Nuevo Tiempo Bible School in Argentina have partnered to integrate spiritual and educational resources into patient care. This collaboration led to the establishment of Espacio Nuevo Tiempo, a dedicated area within the hospital providing faith-based materials, wellness guidance, and Bible studies to patients and their families.

Nuevo Tiempo is the Spanish Christian TV channel and radio station for Central and South America.

By combining healthcare with spiritual encouragement, this initiative reinforces the shared mission of both institutions: promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Bringing Hope and Education to Patients

On February 28, during the launch event, Gabriel Darrichón, director of the Nuevo Tiempo Bible School in Argentina, expressed his enthusiasm for the project.

“We are very happy about this partnership with the sanatorium. It's a wonderful opportunity to work together, understanding that Nuevo Tiempo generates materials that address various topics of interest to the community. People generally come to the sanatorium for health reasons, and Nuevo Tiempo has materials to help develop the same philosophy as the sanatorium: prevention and health care."

The Espacio Nuevo Tiempo will provide patients with access to a range of resources, including materials on physical and emotional health, family education, financial management, and Bible studies. Darrichón emphasized the importance of sharing faith-based guidance in a hospital setting.

"God has something to say; God has a life plan for us in every aspect, and it's important that we make this known," he added.

Expanding Spiritual Care in the Hospital Setting

Nuevo Tiempo Bible School Director Jared Barrenechea highlighted the strategic role of this initiative in bringing hope to those facing health challenges.

“Nuevo Tiempo’s strategy is to reach people with a message of hope and peace. Here at the sanatorium, a variety of people come with different difficulties. Bringing a message of hope to these people is an excellent strategy.”

Through this partnership, patients will have access to Bible studies in digital and printed formats and opportunities for spiritual guidance throughout their recovery. "People who come seeking physical healing will also be able to find spiritual healing," Barrenechea added.

Strengthening the Hospital’s Holistic Mission

Since its founding, the SAP has aimed to provide comprehensive care to address both physical and spiritual health. However, as the institution has grown and its patient base has diversified, maintaining this balance has become increasingly complex.

Hospital Chaplain Daniel Córdoba emphasized the importance of Espacio Nuevo Tiempo in reaffirming SAP’s mission.

"Since its inception, the sanatorium has been a meeting place for physical and spiritual health. However, with the growth of the institution and the diversity of its patients, this objective has become increasingly challenging."

Thanks to this initiative, patients will have easier access to Nuevo Tiempo materials, whether in their hospital rooms, waiting areas, or with chaplains providing personal support.

"This day is a tremendous blessing for us, and we celebrate it as a key step in our mission to bring people closer to Jesus," Córdoba said.

A Commitment to Whole-Person Care

With Espacio Nuevo Tiempo, the SAP and Nuevo Tiempo Argentina reaffirm their dedication to holistic patient care, ensuring that those seeking physical healing also have the opportunity to find spiritual renewal. Through this partnership, they continue to provide resources that extend beyond medical treatment, bringing faith, hope, and comfort to every stage of recovery.
