EndItNow organizers hope to send 1 million signatures to United Nations
Two European events promoting the Seventh-day Adventist Church's anti-violence against women campaign highlight the continuing advocacy of the EndItNow initiative.
Newspapers and television news shows in Montenegro earlier this month covered the campaign launch in the capital city of Podgorica. Local Adventist churches unveiled the initiative over three months ago, while volunteers collected more than 3,500 signatures from community members supporting the initiative.
Initiative organizers hope to raise 1 million signatures worldwide to send to the United Nations. The initiative is jointly sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church's Women's Ministries department and the Adventist Development and Relief Agency.
In Ireland, 18 volunteers carried an EndItNow banner in the March 17 Galway St. Patrick's Day parade. In addition to its work with local charities raising awareness of abuse, ADRA Ireland hopes to raise 50,000 signatures for the petition.
