On September 21-28, 2024, the Sri Lanka Mission demonstrated its commitment to strengthening children’s faith by teaching them the 28 Fundamental Beliefs during their Week of Prayer.
This week provides a valuable opportunity for children to grow spiritually and deepen their understanding of core biblical teachings. Through engaging lessons, interactive activities, and moments of prayer, the children explore key doctrines such as the Sabbath, salvation, the second coming of Christ, and Christian living. The mission seeks to fortify their faith, helping them build a solid foundation to guide them as they grow.
By presenting these beliefs in an accessible, age-appropriate manner, the Week of Prayer encourages children to ask questions, develop a personal relationship with God, and embrace Christian values. The program aims to educate and inspire a lifelong commitment to following Christ, empowering the next generation of believers in Sri Lanka.
“Teaching children to follow Jesus is our primary mission, guiding them in faith, love, and understanding of His teachings,” says Alice Emerson, Children’s Ministries Director of the Sri Lanka Mission.
