Fifteen Mile Seventh-day Adventist Church in Papua New Guinea joined the global Adventist community in celebrating World Pathfinder Day on September 21, 2025, under the theme “Pathfinders on Purpose.”

More than 45 Pathfinders and young people participated in service activities that began with a cleanup at the Fifteen Mile Police Station. The group also visited 10 young prisoners, sharing food, singing, praying, and encouraging them with messages of God’s love and forgiveness. They extended an invitation for the inmates to join the church community after their release.

During the weekend, the program focused on the biblical story of David, reminding Pathfinders that God calls them to live with courage, faith, and purpose from a young age.

Church pastor, Sinias Ray said, “Like David, he was just a shepherd boy, but God chose him to become king. Your test score and what people say about you does not define the purpose God has for your life. When you live with purpose, God can use you to impact lives, no matter your age.”

Church leaders commended the Pathfinders for demonstrating their faith through action, noting that their outreach reflected the values of the Pathfinder ministry, which emphasizes service, leadership, and discipleship.
