Pastor Saw Samuel, associate secretary of the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists, led a praise and dedication program in a historic gathering for the Southeastern Philippines Union Mission (SePUM), which commemorated a significant milestone with honorable guests. The occasion was dedicated to consecrating all administrators, directors, field workers, and staff from three established missions, two newly-established mission headquarters, and two institutions, each under the leadership of Pastor Danielo Palomares, Pastor Edwin Magdadaro, and Mr. Lawrence Lamera, respectively.

Pastor Roger Caderma, president of the Southern Asia Pacific Division (SSD), reflected on the rich history of Adventism in the Philippines, harking back to the efforts of pioneers like Robert Caldwell and J.L. McElhany. The gathering, according to Elder Caderma, was a call to seek divine blessings and express gratitude for the growth and guidance bestowed upon them.

The journey of SePUM traces back to the expansion of missions, with various conferences and missions established over the years, catering to diverse regions and communities across Mindanao. The establishment of SePUM represents a new phase in the region's evangelistic efforts, driven by a commitment to reach the unreached.

Pastor Samuel emphasized the role of Total Member Involvement (TMI) and spiritual enrichment in fostering Adventist growth within the SSD. Drawing parallels from the book of Acts, Pastor Samuel highlighted the need for territorial realignment to effectively spread the gospel message.

Pr. Mamerto Guingguing II, SSD associate secretary, led the dedication ceremony, which emphasized the significance of pastors and their families in serving as shepherds and role models. Together, attendees voiced their commitment to the mission of SePUM, seeking divine guidance and empowerment.

The Sabbath worship, filled with heavenly melodies, further uplifted spirits, with various choirs and ensembles contributing to the uplifting atmosphere. Gratitude was extended to SePUM administrators and staff for their dedication and support in organizing the program.

In closing, the congregation was reminded of the importance of faithful stewardship and the shared mission to spread the message of hope and salvation. As believers left, the hope of divine empowerment and direction filled their hearts with anticipation for the ongoing mission.

The event concluded with a solemn commitment to fulfill the mission of spreading the gospel to every corner of the earth, echoing the words of Acts 1:8: "And ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

In the spirit of this commitment, SePUM embarks on its journey as faithful witnesses, ready to share the message of hope and salvation with all who will listen.
