The Adventist Development and Relief Agency International (ADRA) has responded to heavy flooding in central Brazil, aiding 5,500 people displaced by flooding.

displaced by flooding in Cuiaba in the state of Mata Grosso.
More rain fell in five hours spanning April 24 and 25 than in the entire month of April 2000. Fifteen people died in the flooding and another six are missing, presumed dead. Throughout the region, more than 500,000 people have been affected. In cooperation with government authorities, ADRA Brazil is distributing personal hygiene kits, bedding, tools, and cleaning supplies.
