Karachi Adventist Hospital has received an international certification from the United Kingdom at its first inspection, according to Gail Schatzschneider, KAH correspondent.

“This certification is coveted by international businesses because it assures the customer of a quality management control system,” she says.

Inspectors from International Standard said they were pleased with what they found in their review of employee records, job descriptions, and problem-solving techniques, along with the hospital’s policies and procedures.

For the past year a team at the hospital had worked to prepare the departments and employees for the rigorous inspection.

Established in 1947, Karachi Adventist Hospital is located in Karachi, Pakistan. It has 143 beds and employs more than 400 workers.  According to its mission statement, the hospital is dedicated to “providing quality medical care to all regardless of race, religion or ethnic group.”
