Dr. Walton John Brown, former education director for the Seventh-day Adventist Church worldwide, died July 7. During his 46 year-career, Brown served in almost every area of the Adventist Church’s education system: as school teacher, principal, college president, and departmental director. He worked in the United States, Argentina, Brazil, and Cuba.
From 1974 to 1980, Brown oversaw the Adventist Church’s international education system, the largest unified Protestant school system in the world. He is survived by his wife, daughter and four grandchildren.
