Churches across Australia can now order specially designed T-shirts, hats, and other merchandise to wear during local community service activities through a new initiative from the South New South Wales and North New South Wales conferences of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
The range features the Adventist Community Services (ACS) logo and the message “Here to Serve,” and is intended to help communities more easily connect acts of service with the Adventist Church’s mission and values.
Conference leaders said the merchandise can be used during a range of outreach efforts, including op shops, food pantries, community clean-ups, and StormCo trips.
The initiative was developed in response to findings from a 2022 church perception study conducted by McCrindle Research, which reported that 14 percent of Australians are familiar with the Seventh-day Adventist Church and feel positive toward it, and 11 percent believe Adventists “serve those in need.”
South New South Wales communications coordinator Kyle Morrison said unified branding can help address what he described as fragmented identity across departments and ministries.
“For the Church, a bright and bold logo isn’t vanity—it’s visibility,” Morrison said, adding that increased recognition can help the public associate community service with the Adventist Church.
Organizers noted that churches do not need a formal Adventist Community Services department to use the merchandise, and that it is available to members supporting local service initiatives.
