Seventh-day Adventist world church president Pastor Jan Paulsen arrived in South Korea November 6 to start a six-day visit with local church leaders and members. While in Korea, Paulsen will attend the Annual Council of the Northern Asia Pacific Division, and on Sabbath, November 9 he will participate in a spiritual convocation an the church’s Sahmyook University in Seoul. The Adventist Church in Korea operates 680 churches with about 160,000 church members and is well known throughout the country for its contribution to healthy living.

The world church president was welcomed at the airport by Pastor P.D. Chun, president of the church in the Northern-Asia Pacific.

Korean children dressed in national costume greeted Pastor Paulsen and presented him with flowers.
